Nolan spills that Batman 3 will be the "end". "No mr Freeze"
Dang, but I bet sequels will still be developed just by other folks and who knows about what the actors might do.
Also mentions Superman, but nothing we didnt already know. Batman and Superman exist in their own world in the Nolan-verse, which is a shame they missed a good opportunity.
so there it is, comments?

1. Nolan said Batman 3 is ending the story he wanted to tell. That, coupled with this coming after The Dark Knight, basically means you probably won't get more obscure villains like Black Mask as the major baddie. So Riddler is currently top of my list with whom they're going to go with.
2. Any Batman villain could fit into the Nolan-verse, but some fit better than others. Mr. Freeze could be done, but he'd be radically different than the way he's usually done.
3. I think the only way to fit Superman into the Nolan-verse would be to make his story hyper-realistic and cerebral, kind of like how aliens were treated in the movie "Contact". I, for one, would have liked that, but I don't think many others would, because it would be too strange.

I personally would love for Nolan to use Killer Croc or Clayface, mostly because though it would be difficult he could really pull the characters off realistically in his universe. Killer Croc would work because he is a dark and vengeful outcast whose makeup could be done in a hundred different ways. He wouldn't have to be as monstrous as he is in the animated series or the comics (currently). Clayface has the right tone in his backstory for the Nolanverse because he started off as a vain but harmless actor turned into a criminal but he still has a tragic side to him.
I don't particularly want Nolan to do The Riddler or Penguin because both of them are more over-the-top characters. Mr. Freeze would be great but he's already said he's not interested. It's a shame, but I'll live. It'll be interesting to see where Nolan goes. I can only hope he decides to use Catwoman (possibly even played by Rachel Weisz)!

Weeeeeeeeeellll...
I personally want Black Mask as the villain in the next film. He can be totally realistically done, he's a gangster, who wears a black mask. plus it fits with the gangster sub-plots of the last two. If another antagonist is needed, I would hope they consider Mr. Zsaz. Zsaz also works, he's a crazy guy who carves people with a knife, and then cuts a tally mark into his skin...Emo...
As for Supes...I for one dont want to see Nolan do it. Nolan is great, don't get me wrong, but this is Supes! Nolan's work doesn't exactly scream HAPPY, RED, WHITE AND BLUE or TRUTH, JUSTICE AND THE AMERICAN WAY. I capitalized those words because we use these words to describe Kal-El, and I for one don't believe that Nolan would exactly put emphasis on those words. Plus, Superman was kind of Captain America before Captain America was even created, so shouldn't it have an American director?

Mabye random but still briliant. I mean all of you. As for me I will be glad to see a "same" good story like before. Just because Nolan do the last one, doesn´t mean he have to blow of all the way. Be pacient isn´t a bad thing. As for him, as for us

I once heard Nolan say he didn't want to use Penguin because he wasn't "realistic." Since organized crime is such a huge presence in the Nolanverse, he could just have Penguin be a short, fat mobster. Something plausible can be done with that, right?

Well, the whole gimmick so to speak of The Penguin, is that he looks like a Penguin. So I don't think he could just be a fat, short mobster. He needs those penguin like hands, and all the Penguin-Gadgets.

As I said in my article on my profile, this could go one of two ways. Most of Chris Nolan movies have a very dark feel to them, so his taking control of Superman could not be the best direction for him to go, however, Chris Nolan understands BATMAN very well, which could mean he understands Superman very well.
As for Nolan-Batman 3 being the last in the series, I think that's a smart move on Mr. Nolan's part, as much as i hate to admit it, third installment's tend to turn out disappointing. I don't dislike SPider-Man 3, but i admit I was disappointed. However leaving Superman and Batman in their own universes is a totally and completely stupid stupid move. Besides, any director worth his skin has the power to mesh the conflicting genre-types of these 2 characters, or any DC characters for that matter, as long as they find a pleasant balance between them.
And finally, what does he mean Penguin isn't realistic??? Beside Riddler and Catwoman, who else have you got, Firefly??? Yes Black mask might work very well in the Nolan-verse, but even Nolan has to admit He wouldn't be very smart on a marketing level.
