I'd like to get somebody's opinion on a poem i wrote for English class. Here it is:
Here we are beneath a sky
Filled with billions and billions
Of bright burning fire
If you look beyond every lone star
You can see that there is
A whole galaxy out there
And to those speckles of light
Dancing across the sky
We're just as small as they are
If not smaller
We're here on the grass
With absolute beauty
Displaying its regal head in front of us
Begging for attention
But all i can stare at
Is you

English:
And there came a day. A day unlike any other. When earth's mightiest heroes found themselves united against a common threat. To fight the foes no single hero could withsand. On that day... the Avengers were born.
Spanish:
Y llegó el día. Un día como ningún otro. Cuando los héroes más poderosos de la tierra se vieron unidos contra una amenaza común. Para luchar contra los enemigos ningún héroe único podría withsand. En ese día ... Los Vengadores nació.

OMG! I just watched the second Captain America trailer! (Which BTW comes out on my b-day. Hes my favorite superhero!! What are the odds?!) This movie just keeps looking more and more kick ass.
Unfourtunately, i didnt see it RIGHT away. Originally, i clicked on what i thought was the trailer. It wasnt. I GOT FREAKIN' RICK ROLLED!!! Ugh, i was SO mad! It took all my will power not to throw my computer on the ground out of anger!!

Okay, so I'm writing this story for LA (languege arts) class amd I would really like to get your opinion on the first parargraph or so. I plan on being a writer someday, so ALL criticism is welcomed.

I still can't get over Dwayne McDuffie's death. He has impacted my lif in such a big way, I doubt I'll be able to get over it for a WHILE.
I admit, when i found out on Attack of the Show, I didn't really care. That was before I found out all the shows he had contributed to. He was involved in Justice League, Justice League Unlimeted, Teen Titans,Ben 10.
I can honestly say I wouldn't even read comics if it weren't for JL and JLU. It has made a HUMONGOUS impact on my childhood in so many ways. It brought me closer to my brother, it let me escape from my parents relationship problems, it even inspired me to do better in school.
I kind of hate to say it, but Teen Titans is one of my favorite shows of ALL time! It could be childish at times, but when they were being serious, I was just enthralled. I even remember dressing up as Robin one year for Halloween (I am such a dork!).
In conclusion, Dwayne McDuffie will be sicerly missed. I cant even tell you how much this man has made me smile.
