Today while surfing you tube I came across a vid from Bold Ben Ryan, Now the name may not ring any bells for you he is truly a good guy. He is the guy who's been on you tube begging to be Captain America.



Now I know his acting ability needs work. But if this was the 90's he would have had the role of Cap locked down.

He is a decade too late. I am pleased with the choice of Chris Evans he is a great actor and athletic. But would it have been a bad to cast a unknown in the role?
Have we the comic book fan boys,and True believers gotten disappointed so much in the past that we can't give this guy a chance?

Ben is a fan boy too and he did what we have always wanted to do. Look like our favorite hero. I know the movie industry is cruel and heartless, and I know that big names draw big bucks.

But didn't Lucas go with a unknown in star wars as Luke?
What about Keaton as Bat man? Or Tobey as Spider-man? How about Christopher Reeves as Superman?
Sometimes unknowns work better because the amount you were going to pay mr. big name that money could be put into other areas of the film.

I hope captain America does great, I hope it wins a Oscar and touches the lives of millions.
But it would be nice if guys like Ben get a break too.
