Before we move on with RandomMonth, I'd like to mention that ItsJustSomeRandomGuy's 100th video has gotten over 10,000 likes and 400,000 views in just over two weeks. Only four other RandomVids have over 10,000 likes--Round One #1, Round Two #1, Round Three #1, and Deadpool's first appearance)--each with over 1 million views. This goes to show how truly special this latest video is. And now...

Day 9

Every Wednesday of RandomMonth, we here at www.randomfans.com are bringing you an interview with one of the permanent operators at ItsJustSomeRandomGuyAndGal's blogTV shows. This week we are posting our interview with spideymouse. You can read the interview by clicking "Read More."

RandomVid of the Day: "Marvel/DC: The Hangover, Up, and Drag Me To Hell Parodies"
This day in RandomHistory... Posted exactly one year ago, it feels like it's been longer since the Randoms made Trailer Parody #3. After their parodies of Star Trek and Terminator Salvation were met with much popularity and acclaim, it seemed like moviegoers were just counting down to Transformers 2 as the next big popcorn action flick for them to parody. Instead, RandomGuy and Gal came up with this video. In this past 2009 RandomAwards, it came in second for best trailer parody. Please watch it again and enjoy the milkshake-induced hilarity.

RandomQuote of the Day:
"How dare you! She's a nice lady!" ~Sabretooth, Trailer Parody #3

RandomIcon of the Day: "Jumpin' Jehoshaphat..."

RandomWiki of the Day:
Lars M. Dusseldorf

Lars M. Dusseldorf was created by RandomGuy as a character for his Marvel/DC series. In the Random Verse Lars is a LMD, Life Model Decoy, created by Lex Luhtor.
History
After the events of Happy Hour, Lex Luthor was in need of a new android to help him due to the dissappearance of Lance. To fill this gap Luthor, apparently single handly, created Lars M. Dusseldorf sometime between the end of Happy Hour and the beginning of Zero Hour. Lex Luthor designed Lars to be both more powerful and duchier than his predecessor Lance.
Zero Hour
Lars makes his first appearance in the Zero Hour Prelude video. In this video, Lex Luthor is holding a meeting with the other supervillains in an attempt to persuade them to join his cause. However, when the villains turn on Lex in an attempt to get revenge, Lars steps in to stop them. He is powerful enough to single handly knock down almost every Marvel villain with ease. Lex goes on to introduce Lars to the other villains, claiming to be a Lance 2.0 who is more powerful and duchier than Lance. After the rest of the villains abandon the meetings, Lex asks Lars to help find out where Lance had disappeared to. Lars replies to this by claiming that he found Lance "like two hours ago" and proceeds to show Lex the survallence cam footage of Joker and Lance's head initiating Plan Q. In Zero Hour #1, Lars discovers the return of Lance's head and quickly reports this news to Luthor saying "the deuche who is not as powerful as me but is somehow more important than me just showed up."
Personality/Powers
Lars M. Dusseldorf is one of the most powerful beings so far shown in the Randomverse. The greatest display of his power so far is seen when he takes out many of the Marvel villains in one single action. Although he has not yet shown all of his powers, it is believed that he is capable of doing everything Lance could and more. Lars talks with a German accent and behaves like a European fashion designer. His personality appears to be heavily influenced by movies characters such as Bruno, in how he speaks and behaves. Due to this personality he is even deuchier, and yet more powerful than Lance.

Beware! The Lady Vanishes!

Better Know a RandomOp: spideymouse

Note: This interview was done on in the early morning hours of March 6th, 2010.

BSfan: Dude.

spideymouse: Sup.

BSfan: So Spideymouse, why don't we get some introductory questions out of the way first. How old are you?

spideymouse: I'm 25 years old.

BSfan: And where are you from?

spideymouse: I'm from southeast Michigan, Detroit area.

BSfan: Word? 8 Mile?

spideymouse: haha, I've crossed 8 Mile plenty of times, but no, I actually live off of 17 Mile. Which is completely not like 8 Mile.

BSfan: Do you think that 8 Mile reference was dated?

spideymouse: Well, Dark Knight fans think two months is enough to date something, but 8 Mile is still pretty relevant. At least Eminem is still being played on the radio. That movie came out in the past ten years, right?

BSfan: I believe so. It can't be more than 6 or 7 years old. I was in grade school when it came out. I watched the DVD by myself in seventh or eight grade. I was way too young for that movie. But this interview isn't about me. Let's move on shall we?

spideymouse: Hold on, I got a hold of RandomGuy.

Interview pauses.

BSfan: So that's the big cheese himself eh?

spideymouse: So they say. He's quite a difficult man to reach sometimes... artists, you know.

BSfan: Of course. What time is it now?

spideymouse: Right now? It's 5am eastern, so for them... it's almost 2 am, and they're in the middle of working on the next video.

BSfan: Always excellent. We'll be sure the keep an eye out for that. That's very exciting news. My 5:00 here in the EST. Well it's certainly I good thing we work on West Coast time, or you might not have gotten a hold of him.

spideymouse: For sure, for sure. It's also a good thing that they work on Hawaii time.

BSfan: Well, I hope they've at least eaten by now.

spideymouse: Unfortunately, I wouldn't be surprised if they haven't.

BSfan: Tsk tsk. If we may get back to talking about you now, how tall are you?

spideymouse: I'm between 5'6 and 5'7, depending on the day.

BSfan: And what's your real name for those who don't already know it?

spideymouse: Timothy Li.

BSfan: Well Timothy, I think that about does it for the basic stuff. How about we probe a little deeper and really get to know you a little better?

spideymouse: Call me Tim.

BSfan: Very well, Tim.

spideymouse: If you want to probe me, you're going to have to make me feel comfortable.

BSfan: ... Well let's start with some RandomSpecific questions to help break the ice a little more. When did you first become a RandomFan?

spideymouse: I think it was May 2007.

spideymouse: I can't say I was one of the lucky few thousand who first saw the first "Hi, I'm a Marvel...and I'm a DC" in March. I just wasn't that much of an avid YouTuber back then.

BSfan: I can understand. Do you remember the first video you saw?

spideymouse: it was definitely the first Hi, I'm a Marvel...and I'm a DC. It was a very vivid memory for me. I was in my apartment, and I think I was looking up Mac/PC parodies... I saw the Linux ones and whatever, but then I saw the truncated title of one of the related videos, "Hi, I'm a Marvel..." and the blurry, shadowy screenshot of a Spider-Man action figure. Obviously, as you can see from my alias, I'm a Spider-Man fan, so of course I clicked on it, despite how low quality it looked.

BSfan: And what did you think when it was over?

spideymouse: I was really intrigued! Despite just having seen all these other shiny, corporate-sponsored parodies with good-looking actors, this one had something else that hooked me. I watched the rest of the videos they had at that point... I think it was up to their eighth video... Hi, I'm a Mutant...and I'm a DC.

BSfan: What's your favorite RandomVid of all time?

spideymouse: Of all time? That's difficult.

BSfan: Well that's why I asked the easy questions first. Now we get to the probing. And probing can be very difficult.

spideymouse: ...As I'm sure you know firsthand. Anyway, I'm prone to nostalgia, so the old school stuff always seems somehow more classic. I think I've said before that I can't choose between Hi, I'm a Marvel...and I'm a DC #7 and Villains Edition. Both were instant classics when they came out: perfectly executed comedic timing, incredibly well written script, and just two funny, funny pairs of guys arguing.

BSfan: And who's your favorite character in Marvel/DC?

spideymouse: Easy. Gotta go with the Goblin. A close second would be Blade. Just kidding. I think part of why I love Gobby so much is that, like it or not, he's actually an original RandomVerse character, like Lance. Sure, he's based on Marvel's Green Goblin, but come on. The liberties the Randoms have taken to completely reinvent him have caused him to become really a whole new and hilarious beast. If Lance is the ultimate douche, Gobby is the ultimate fratboy villain. Forget Dr. Horrible.

BSfan: Haha. Be careful. I know a lot of people who love their NPH.

spideymouse: Oh trust me, I love me some Doogie as well. But people forget that Gobby's the original villain-turned-blogger. Or is it blogger-turned-villain, in NPH's case?

BSfan: Well we'll have to wait for a Dr. Horrible Prequel to be certain, unless they decide to just give the thing a gritty reboot.

spideymouse: In 3D. Starring Justin Bieber. That comment is going to date this interview.

BSfan: Everyone keeps telling me I'm supposed to hate that guy. I have no idea who he is.

spideymouse: Usually you shouldn't hate people you don't know, but in this case, they're right.

BSfan: Very well. Let's get back to you now Tim. What do you do?

spideymouse: At present, I'm a teacher at a Kumon center, which is an after-school math and reading learning center for kids (or adults) that develops both academic skills as well as life and social skills in students. I also privately tutor high school students.

BSfan: And where did you go to school?

spideymouse: I went to the University of Michigan. I bleed maize and blue. Go Wolverines!

BSfan: WOLVERINES!

spideymouse: Haha.

BSfan: Oh... I'm sorry. I forgot. We don't talk about that movie.

spideymouse: Well, we can talk about that one. Just not... the other one.

BSfan: Right.... Anyhoodle, moving right along... Are you happy with your job Tim?

spideymouse: Ooh, a yes-or-no question. Now we're really cooking. YES! One-word answers FTW! ...Just kidding. I do get a lot of enjoyment and satisfaction from teaching. I love it when the lightbulb turns on in a student's head--it's like a breakthrough. However, if you're asking if I've found it to be what I want to do for the rest of my life, I'd have to say no. I'm still trying to figure that one out.

BSfan: Any ideas on what that might be?

spideymouse: There are always a few floating around, but again... I'm still trying to figure that one out. And here's a math lesson for you: a few does not equal one.

BSfan: Was that a shot? It sounds like you're insulting my math skills.

spideymouse: I can't really imagine how that could be a shot, but let me explain.

BSfan: Very well.

spideymouse: Sometimes having many different interests keeps you from being able to focus, and when I say "you," I mean, "me."

BSfan: Well said.

spideymouse: Thanks. So it's been tough lately to pick something and say, "This is what I really want and I'm going for it." I have actually done just that before and failed, and a shrink would say that might have something to do with my present struggle, but let's just keep it at that for now. If you want to know, such ideas include: web design/development, the comic book industry, music, full-time Christian ministry, and of course, any sort of soul-draining career that would actually make money.

BSfan: Well I think all of us dream about being whores for money at some point. But Christian ministry that's an interesting one. Care to elaborate?

spideymouse: That's actually the one I previously jumped all in for, but I had personal issues that I still deal with to an extent today that kept that from working out. Frankly, it's very difficult for a depressed person to love other people, much less himself. As for ministry, you should notice by now that I'm a very passionate person, to a fault. I'll work at something with all of my heart if it inspires me. At one point in time and currently to a degree, Jesus Christ has been my total inspiration in this life.

BSfan: You are a fascinating person Tim Li.

spideymouse: Thanks, Will. Aren't we all.

BSfan: Now's your chance to tell us anything else you about yourself. What do you want the RandomFandom to know about you?

spideymouse: Well, there is one thing. I really dislike when people only talk about themselves. I think it's more annoying than trolls. I actually don't like talking about myself, so this has been extra painful. Thanks a LOT. That would be a good question for these interviews--"What do you hate more than trolls?"

BSfan: What do you hate more than trolls?

spideymouse: I just told you.

BSfan: So you did.

spideymouse: And maybe that's why I so easily lend myself towards fanaticism--it becomes less about me and more about the thing I'm a fan of.

BSfan: So the Randoms.

spideymouse: In this context, yeah.

BSfan: What's your favorite part about being a RandomFan?

spideymouse: I think it's ironically sometihng my sister made fun of me for--being a RandomFan is like being a fanboy of a fanboy.

BSfan: Haha. That's well put.

spideymouse: I can completely relate to the Randoms and their videos and the content of their work because they care just as much about superheroes and their movies and adaptations as I do. The fact that they then turn that passion into a truly unique artform that expresses what we're all thinking, feeling, hoping, and fearing, just makes it fun to be a geek in this silver age of superhero movies.

BSfan: Well lets lighten things up now with a little RandomWord association. I'll say a word and you say the first word or phrase that comes into your mind. No thinking about it.

BSfan: Ready?

spideymouse: For?

spideymouse: Oh, sorry. I thought we were playing already. Okay, go.

BSfan: Rorschach

spideymouse: Deadpool

BSfan: Nut

spideymouse: Fool

BSfan: Red

spideymouse: Blue

BSfan: Reboot

spideymouse: Parody

BSfan: Random

spideymouse: Random

BSfan: Goblin

spideymouse: Bloggin... that's so generic...gah

BSfan: Pumpkin

spideymouse: Pumpkin?

BSfan: Superman

spideymouse: bah my mind is so blank

BSfan: Enemy

spideymouse: of the state

BSfan: Batman

spideymouse: I'm

BSfan: The

spideymouse: End

BSfan: Very well. End of game. The sun's coming up now so we should probably start wrapping this up.

spideymouse: Sure, let's talk about starting to wrap things up.

BSfan: Is there anything else you want the RandomFandom to know about yourself and/or your love of all things Random?

spideymouse: Well, right now it's 5am. That should say something about the amount of dedication and energy I put into being a RandomFan behind the scenes. Says something about you, too. But yeah, my life is definitely Random. Would you like me to be more RandomSpecific?

BSfan: Only if you want to be.

spideymouse: I don't. Not right now.

BSfan: Okay. If you were a tree, what kind of tree would you be?

spideymouse: Oak.

BSfan: Nice choice.

spideymouse: I think it's the not-so-obvious, but solid choice.

BSfan: The sun's up now. So I think it's time to bring our chat to an end. I'll give you the last word. If you would be so kind, could you please leave us with your favorite RandomQuote?

spideymouse: "That's not a pocket."
