Hmmmm. The whole Random wordplay thing has really gone downhill since I adopted it.
2010 has been a year marked by new ideas and creative thinking for the ItsJustSomeRandomGuy YouTube channel. From an in-continuity buddy cop parody to a full-on double rainbow musical masterpiece to a Twilight/True Blood spoof, and even faking Gobby's own suicide, RandomGuy and Gal have been pushing the outer limits of the ever-expanding RandomVerse, all the while maintaining their comic perfection.
Last week, another one of these Voyager-esque missions was launched. This time, the Randoms attacked the YouTube community with an eight-video interactive game. Eight videos! Watch the video in the player above, click a link on the screen at the end to watch a nominee, and be on your way to picking your winner!
Out of the nominee videos and winner videos, I think my favorites were both Dexter videos. Admittedly, I've only seen one episode of Dexter, but I felt that the nominee video completely captured its spirit and tone. The fact that Deadpool was on the table was pleasantly appropriate sight. I also enjoyed how they made the "You don't die, do you?" "Nope." "Hurm." exchange a running joke. As for the Dexter winner video, I thought that it was the funniest of the eight videos, thanks to Rorschach's line at the end. All in all, tying Dexter to "Rorschach and Deadpool" worked perfectly for both videos.
As promised this past Tuesday, the Randoms posted a new video on YouTube yesterday! Given the time frame, many RandomFans guessed that it would be related to the San Diego Comic Con, and I guess they were right!
Fellow RandomFan BSfan summed it up the best:
Song + Deadpool + under 3 minutes = instant iTunes hit
Don't you agree?

Also, in case you're unobservant, randomfans.com is back up after a 3+ day hiatus! I don't fully understand the whole situation, but apparently the reason behind it was that the hosting was inadvertently neglected. The account is DrPlexi's, so I had no control of the situation.
To avoid future similar occurrences, I'm looking into ways to take on more responsibility for this web site. But I will need your help. Please stay tuned!
Still, we had 11 fun days, right? Next time will be better. Things to note about June 2010: Kat Kat turned a year older, and so did RandomGuy's mom (as well as my parents)... the Randoms watched their 6th anniversary roll by in between True Blood marathons, and ItsJustSomeRandomFanClub entered its terrible two's.
Oh, and they made this gem of a RandomVid. Watch it again. Also, their 100th video's view count passed the 500,000 mark. You should also watch that again.
Remember, as it is with every Tuesday, tonight is a broadcast night at blogTV. I won't be there, so if you can, please ask the Randoms a few pressing questions that I'm sure many of us have been wanting to ask:
Where did they get those Toy Story 3 figures?
What did they actually do to Woody's face? Makeup? Marker? Mutilation?
How do they maintain their sheer brilliance as seemingly effortlessly as Pixar Entertainment does?
As announced in today's RandomMonth blog, we will be watching portions of ItsJustSomeRandomGuy and Gal's 100 videos every Sunday night at 8pm ET/5pm PT on spideymouse's blogTV channel. Here is the schedule of videos for tonight:
Round One #1-10 (with commentary)
After Hours #1-7 (possibly with commentary)
Bonus BlogTV recordings
random videos?
MTV Movie Awards be damned! NBA and Stanley Cup Finals be damned! We're watching this stuff at 8pm ET/5pm PT tonight, so help me!!! Yeah, yeah, yeah... have fun watching those other things.
Hey RandomFans, Happy RandomMonth! So, ItsJustSomeRandomGuy recently posted the lyrics to the "Continuity!" song from their 100th video, which you can view at the end of this article. Watch it again and sing along this time!
Heads up, everyone! Given that the total running time of all 100 ItsJustSomeRandomGuy videos is just under 5 hours long, there's been a last minute change of plans in the video marathon scheduled for tonight. Instead of 10pm ET/7pm PT, the marathon will now start at 8pm ET/5pm PT. See you there!
Just days after posting their one hundredth video on Monday, the Randoms have hammered their way past a new milestone. Earlier today, the ItsJustSomeRandomGuy channel's upload view count surpassed the 50 million mark. That ranks them as the 49th most viewed comedy channel on YouTube. I would make note that the combination of 50 million views and 100 videos results in an average of 500,000 views per video, but Be sure to visit the channel via the link above to congratulate them... and raise that view count some more!
